Connecticut Community Foundation Nonprofit Assistance Initiative (NAI) www.conncf.org/nai/index.htm

The Nonprofit Assistance Initiative was established in 1998 as a joint project of the Connecticut Community Foundation and the United Way of Greater Waterbury to provide organizational development support to nonprofit agencies in the area. Our goal is to enhance services to residents of Northwest Connecticut by strengthening the governance and improving the management capacity of nonprofit organizations. NAI Services include education and training workshops to provide information and learning opportunities on a range of nonprofit management and governance issues.

Executive Transitions Program: Third Sector New England

The Executive Transitions Program (ETP) of Third Sector New England offers support to nonprofit organizations about to or currently undergoing an executive transition. Third Sector New England is a managing organization for ETP, and provides transition planning, consultation and interim executive placement in Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts. They are available to speak to boards of directors, funders and others about the important window of opportunity an executive transition offers a nonprofit for insight, growth and capacity building.

Fairfield County Community Foundation Center for Nonprofit Excellence

Supports nonprofit excellence in Fairfield County.  The Center provide skill-building workshops for nonprofit staff, executive directors and board members.

United Way-Pace University Not-for-Profit Management Center

The center provides the nonprofit community with high-quality and relevant learning opportunities at an affordable cost. Providing these educational experiences are the Pace University faculty, special consultants, professional trainers as well as organizations focusing on the needs of nonprofits.

University of Connecticut, Cooperative Extension System (CES).
