Job openings at the Hispanic Center of Greater Danbury
The Hispanic Center has two job openings: Grant Developer and Education Coordinator.
Grant Developer
-Research and identification of potential funding sources
-Development and preparation of grant applications.
-Serves as staff liaison for the Board of Directors Fundraising Committee
-Analysis and compilation of yearly client data for Annual Report and other reports required of grant applications and Agency.
-Development and preparation of public relations and informational materials including and agency quarterly newsletter
-Works closely with the Executive Director to follow through with special projects and operations associated with operating the agency.
Participates in developing the program, activities, and procedures for the agency in collaboration with the Executive Director.
-Participates in seminars and conferences to increase professional knowledge and skills.
-Works on other projects as assigned.
Education Coordinator
Conduct student assessments through pre and post testing.
-Research and develop ESL curriculum
-Assist students and parents navigate the school system.
-Develop individual educational plans.
-Provide academic support activities including job readiness training and computer literacy.
-Link community providers to the program.
-Leverage local resources to support the program efforts.
-Maintain a data collection and analysis system.
-Coordinate post program support.
-Develop surveys for students and instructors to determine effectiveness of the programs
