Governing for What Matters full-day workshop / September 23rd
This special event is sponsored by the United Way of Western CT and the Greater Danbury Nonprofit Resource Center.
When a board is “Governing for What Matters”, it addresses its accountability for the means within the context of the only thing that matters - creating significant results to improve the community’s quality of life. This workshop will provide guidance to boards on how to create extraordinary, visionary, long-term impact in their communities.
National experts in the area of governance, Hildy Gottlieb and Dimitri Petropolis, of The Community-Driven Institute at Help 4 NonProfits, will lead the workshop. The workshop will cover the legal, operational and leadership responsibilities of the board, building sustainability, as well as, the day-to-day functions of an effective board.
This workshop will include follow-up materials addressing questions that arise during the day, the opportunity for private 1-hour consultations with Hildy and Dimitri on matters of importance to your board and a Q&A Teleclass 30 days after the workshop, to remove barriers to implementing what you learned.
