The American Red Cross of Western Connecticut has an immediate opening for a Director of Financial Development and Communications. This management position will work with the Executive Director, the Board of Directors and the Financial Development and Communications committees to establish and administer the annual Financial Development Plan and annual Communications Plan to ensure the financial welfare of the Chapter. Key areas of responsibility include major gifts, direct mail, direct marketing, foundation and corporate grants, special events and other projects. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in financial development. He/she must be self directed, outgoing and creative with strong written and verbal communication skills. He/she must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities; must be flexible with a high degree of competence in planning, coordination, teamwork, and a commitment to the fundamental principles of the American Red Cross.
